FAQ

Why is the charger light displaying green when my scooter is not fully charged?

Please continue to charge the scooter for the recommended amount of time. The light should eventually turn back to red and then green when fully charged.

Why has my scooter suddenly stopped working in use?

Your scooter may have a loose connection and needs a connection test. In order to perform a connection test, unscrew and take off the footplate and check that all plastic connectors on the inside of the scooter are secured.

Another reason for this happening may be due to an excessive overload. The scooter may overheat if ridden by too heavy a rider or up too steep a hill. If the scooter suddenly stops running because of this reason, it will automatically recover after 30 seconds.

Why does my scooter have a short run time (15 minutes or less)?

The battery may be undercharged. You should charge the battery for the recommended amount of time. A new battery should be charged for a minimum of 12 hours on it's first charge and then charged for a minimum of 5 hours for every subsequent charge.

Additionally, your battery may be old and not accepting a full charge. Even with proper care, a rechargeable battery does not last forever. The average battery life is 1 to 2 years depending on scooter use and conditions. Replace the battery with only a Zinc replacement battery.

Why is my scooter running sluggishly?

The riding conditions may be too stressful for your scooter. Please ensure that the scooter is being used on solid, flat, clean and dry surfaces such as pavement or level ground for optimum performance.

The scooter may be overloaded. In order to not overload the scooter, make sure that the scooter is only being used by one rider at a time and that the person is not heavier than the maximum weight limit (50kg). Also ensure that the scooter is not going up a hill and objects aren't being towed behind the scooter. If the scooter is overloaded, the controller will automatically cut the circuit. Correct the riding conditions that caused the overload, wait 30 seconds, the scooter will then automatically recover.

Why does my scooter only work intermittently?
